This is indeed one of their finest gems. Club d'Elf are not always the same band; this is a wonderful incarnation and an exemplary recording.

This is the best show of this little tour, imo, and one of the great D'elf shows of the era. As expected by the lineup (Maneri x 2), there's more dissonance and less funk; it doesn't blow the doors down, instead it melts the doors with supersonic rays. It's not for everyone, but the unusual lineup should be a red flag that this is a show to investigate and make your own decision.

not so funky
if you're looking for a free music, impovised at a real time - this show is for you... the drum-bass section is not grooving too much but doing a good work, medeski is not so funky as he used to be but still creative, the rest plays good, there's only this horrible violin. Mr. Rourke covers Dj Logic in this band.. if you listen to it at least 3 times you begin to like it, but in your mind stay only a few grooves, Brahim's play and vocal...

This was the first Delf show I ever listened to and it blew me away. It is an almost perfect arrangement of musicians that blend beautifully together. All of Delf's lineups are great but when they have all this percussion plus Matt and Joe, it is just an extreme ensemble. Lets not forget Medeski either, this guy always adds something great to the sound. Nice mix of funk, moroccan tunes and just flat out jamming.
